Gemma arterton
Gemma Christina Arterton is an English actor who is known for her role in films including 'Quantum Solace', 'The Reappearance of Alice Creed' and 'Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters'. She was born in Gravesend in Greater London. The career path she chose began when she graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She made her debut in a comedy titled 'St Trinian's'. For the James Bond film Quantum of Solace the film, which came out shortly afterwards, she played an in-character role. The film was commercially successful, but was generally praised. The actress then played the lead female character in the action-fantasy film , 'Prince of Persiania: The Sands of Time'. In the past, she played as a support role for"Orphan" in the French film "Orphan". Arterton was nominated for many awards during her acting career to date, among them, she received the 'Empire Award' for the best Newcomer for her role in the film 'Quantum Of Solace', and also the 'Evening Standard Theater Award' in recognition of her part in the musical "Made in Dagenham'. The award also went to her for by the Glamour Award for Women of the Year in 2011.
